Frequently Asked Questions
Is the Pay Email machine really that
different from other kiosks?
The design on our kiosk is covered by US Patent No. D494,582
S, which was issued August 17, 2004. The Pay Email is one of
the only reliable internet kiosks available today.
What type of lines do we need to operate a Pay
Email machine?
A T-1, cable modem, or DSL will all work to supply
a broadband high speed “always on” connection.
Do we order this line or the site owner?
I would first determine the service that is currently in place
in the location. There maybe extra capacity on existing service.
If not ask the location to add the needed service and you
will include any cost to the monthly commission.
What if the site does not want to share their capacity or
does not want to participate in ordering the needed service?
You will then have to order the service yourself from a provider
you have built a relationship with and have an account.
I know the Pay
Email was designed to fit in a space vacated
by a pay phone but can it be used in other locations?
Yes, the machine can hang on a wall, sit on a desk or counter.
I have people who think a bill acceptor is still needed to
boost sales, can one be added?
Yes, a bill acceptor is optional.
What about a printer?
Yes, a printer can be added and you can charge a per page fee.
Can the unit also provide WiFi?
Yes, the unit can provide a WiFi antenna and the necessary
software to offer this service.
Can the units provide advertising and other revenues?
We currently offer access to purchase Gifts and Flowers On
Line for overnight delivery. Additional projects are under
development and will become available when economically viable.
I understand the value of credit/debit
card acceptance but how do we receive our money?
Credit/debit cards are processed through the Pay Email
master account. You will receive a lump sum payment once
per month for the credit/debit card income produced by
your kiosk(s). The processing costs varies from the credit
card type, but the deduction to you will be the actual
cost (typically 7% of the total transaction fee).
Can I monitor my Pay Email internet
kiosks online?
Yes. We provide you with access to our Webstats, which has
detailed transaction information and reporting capability.
Is there any ongoing cost for
software updates?
Yes. For each kiosk, we charge $35.00 per month, which
covers all software upgrades, licensing fees, access to
Webstats online monitoring, email alerts, and a monthly
transaction statement. If you operate 6 or more Pay Email
internet kiosks, we can offer you a discount on this $35.00
fee.
What about a warranty?
The kiosk carries a full one year parts warranty.
What about training?
We are happy to assist you in any way. The Pay Email is very
easy to install and operate.
Will we have a “live" person
to speak to if we have questions?
Yes
